September 22: Entry Deadline for 2006 Lone Star STC Competitions

Have you or your peers put a good deal of time and effort into a technical
communication project this year? Has your team created something you’re
proud of? Are you working on a project that you think will be a “keeper”?
Maybe it’s a “work in progress” and you want some objective feedback. Then
it’s time for you or your team to seek recognition for your hard work and
professionalism.

The time is here to start thinking about entering your work or that of
your team in this year’s STC Lone Star Community’s Competitions. We have
three categories—Online Communications, Technical Publications, and
Technical Art—each with many subcategories designed to address the type of
work that you or your team do.

Entry deadline is Friday, September 22, 2006.

To enter, go to http://www.stc-dfw.org/pages/comp_main.htm and download
the 2006-2007 Competition Entry Form.

Drive, just south of I-30, in the same complex as Blue Mesa, Chili’s, and
Barnes & Noble. There’s plenty of free parking, and a roomy area inside.
Join us as we discover who the “Sat cats” are and where we’re headed in
the future.

Region 5 Conference Registration Open!

The Region 5 Conference, sponsored by LSC this year, is coming to Addison
