February 8 Meeting: Equal Access to Technology for People with
Disabilities

***Meeting is on the SECOND Thursday of the month.

Does the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) apply to the Internet? How
does technology impact the lives of 55 million Americans with
disabilities? Will the recent National Federation of the Blind vs.
Target.com lawsuit affect all online businesses?

Nationally recognized expert, Sharron Rush, explores the issues of
technology access and demonstrates how accessibility becomes good
business. Sharron will present Equal Access to Technology for People with
Disabilities at the STC Lone Star Community meeting on Thursday, February
8, 2007, at the Crowne Plaza North Dallas/Addison Hotel.

Sharron Rush

As co-founder and executive director of Knowbility, a nonprofit
organization, Sharron has promoted the accessibility message to national
recognition, including appearances on the Oprah Winfrey TV show.

Sharron is a ComputerWorld laureate, an advisor to the South by Southwest
(SXSW) Interactive Media Conference, and co-author of the book, Maximum
Accessibility.
