February 7 Meeting: Three Guys on Interaction Design

***Please note the DATE CHANGE! Our February Meeting is scheduled for Feb
7--the FIRST THURSDAY of the month.

We have a special panel discussion featuring "Three Guys on Interaction
Design" in what we hope will be the first in a series of panel discussions
on possible career options for those with technical communications
backgrounds. In February, we're hosting Jim Machajewski, Kevin Mattice,
and Vic Case, all of the Perot Systems User Experience Department. Come
hear how three practitioners approach interaction design and learn why
this aspect of product development is critical to a satisfying user
experience.

Community Service: Have a Heart for Hunger
The February meeting is also a "Have a Heart for Hunger" event for the
North Texas food bank. Every year, millions of pounds of food and grocery
items go to waste right here in Texas. But what can the grocery industry
do when the wrong vegetables are in the mix, juice is short dated, or
shampoo isn't the right color? The solution is the North Texas Food Bank.
Bring a non-perishable food item or two to the meeting and help the LSC
make a difference!
