Qualifications 
 
• Technical knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and mobile device
OS, e.g. Windows Mobile and Symbian.
• Proven experience writing about enterprise-level software or hardware. 
• Basic working knowledge of antivirus, firewalls, and/or intrusion
detection/prevention.
• Exposure to network administration, either writing about it or doing it.
• 2 - 4 years experience working in an Information Development department
(may be less if candidate has addtional experience working in network
administration).
• Proven writing and technical skills. 
• Proficient in using print and online authoring tools. Experience working
on Content Management systems desirable.
• Familiar with User Interface (UI) standards for common platforms, e.g.
Microsoft Windows.
• Solid understanding of how information development fits into product
lifecycle.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 
 
Responsibilities 
 
• Develop and maintain linear and non-linear user assistance for Symantec
Mobile Security products.
• Assist in the creation of project plans. 
• Use collaborative writing tools (content management system) to create
single-source writing that delivers multiple outputs, including online
help.
• Review audience needs and analyze source materials. 
• Commit to schedules. 
• Understand and use content management principles and follow company
standards for content development..
• Work closely with other Information Developers in developing coordinated
content.
