This position is in Salt Lake City, Utah

This position entails writing and editing marketing materials for high technology companies. Commercial writing experience is preferred but not required.

Selected applicants will be required to take a comprehensive writing and editing test. Excellent candidates normally take four to five hours to complete the test.

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

Minimum BA or BS degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field 
Impeccable writing and editing skills, with writing samples that demonstrate these skills 
The ability to produce publication-quality written material very quickly 
A demonstrated technical aptitude (apparent in your past experience) 
Strong research skills 
Considerable experience researching on the World Wide Web 
Experience using Microsoft Office products 
A willingness to be edited (without taking feedback personally) 
The ability to effectively manage your time and projects 
Honesty, reliability, punctuality
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products 
An understanding of computers and computer networking 
Knowledge of RoboHelp 
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and at least one HTML editor 
Knowledge of at least one professional publishing program (FrameMaker, Quark, Interleaf, etc.)
To perform well in this position you must be organized and detail-oriented and you must be able to present information in a clear, compelling way. You must have excellent grammar skills. You must be able to write in a conversational—yet professional—tone and style. You must be a fast, independent worker—someone who can produce publication-quality first drafts and who can effectively manage your workload with minimal supervision.

This position is a full-time position. You must be able to work normal business hours. You must be willing to occasionally work a flexible schedule; there will be instances when you are required to adjust your schedule in order to meet a deadline.

The starting salary for this position is negotiable, within the current market range.
