Staff Technical Writer I

Job Description

Create and maintain technical documentation and marketing collaterals for
our entire product line.

Duties and responsibilities include:
· Complete responsibility for technical documentation for business unit
products.

·Work with marketing and engineering groups to plan, create, review, edit
and publish technical documentation for new products, and maintain the
accuracy of existing technical documentation.

·Update and manage release notes and readme files for software releases.

·Write and publish Technology Briefs, Competitive Briefs and White Papers.

·Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, quickly changing
environment.

·Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team with enthusiasm,
dedication and urgency.

Required Skills

·BA, BS in English, Communications, Computer Science, Educational
Technology or related discipline,  MS a plus, and 8+ yrs related
experience.

·Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

·Thorough knowledge of hardware/software development life cycle.

·Advanced experience using FrameMaker, DreamWeaver and RoboHelp.

·Strong HTML skills, a plus.

·Experience writing technical marketing collaterals.

·Limited travel may be necessary.

release CDs containing the latest business unit’s APIs, management tools,
device utilities, and documentation.

·Write, update and manage release notes and readme files in txt, pdf and
html formats.

·Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, quickly changing
environment.

·Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team with enthusiasm,
dedication and urgency.

Required Skills

·BA, BS in English, Communications, Computer Science, Educational
