Fwd: Don Bush's Intercom article

Ordinarily, I would say, well, this author is just not informed about
what contemporary TC programs teach (leaving the rather odd
criticisms of the "academic" journals aside for the moment). But I
believe this is a critical moment in the relationship of the TC
academic community to STC, so I would urge you all to write to
Intercom. STC leadership, and some in the practitioner community,
have for too long accepted the long-outmoded metaphor of the real
world vs. the ivory tower. Give me a break. We teach folks to help
other people make the real world work for them.

We so need to articulate to STC what concrete value TC educators
bring to the field, to practitioners, and to STC. Help me, and other
STC academics do just that.
