Help with a reference on essay feedback

Thank you very much for these references, Marie. 

After Loel's message last night, I started looking at the RTE journal and discovered Rhetoric Review in the process -  journals that seem to attract research mostly from North America. None of these were familiar to me, in part because I teach Master's students only, but mostly I suspect because of  the way writing is perceived and taught in the UK (and pretty much in the rest of Europe). Also my discipline is 'communication' rather than 'English', which influenced my use of keywords. This is a real cultural experience!

For a bit more, a quick database search on Straub turned up the
following (in RTE, CCC, and Rhetoric Review). None may be the article
in question, but they may have relevant bibliographies...
