Documentation Help Needed

Greetings All-
I'd note the following: (a) I've been publishing a number of chapter articles in Idea Group (Information Science Publishing) and they are all APA; all of their professional journals are also APA, as are many if not most throughout the professional journal realm these days, and many international journals have also adopted the APA standard as well; (b) I've just completed an M.S. in Human Factors in Information Design in the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley College: I was a bit impressed if not startled how much the entire college curriculum has rigorously mandated an all-APA style for all academic coursework, research term papers, etc., to prepare its students for the professional international business world.
Now be this as it may, the APA style is just the standard now but that should not necessarily be seen as an endorsement of either its superiority or appropriateness in all TC situations. I personally like Turabian and Chicago fine…but if it matters to say the obvious, "when in Rome…" Best Regards to all…
Vince

I agree with Judith and teach APA for technical and business communication courses.

I teach APA in both technical and business writing courses. I find it is becoming more popular than any of the other styles except in the medical field. MLA is still the standard in nursing and medical journal. I also use APA in both technical and business writing. --- You are currently subscribed to STC Academic Community as: w4ag at yahoo.com.
