Documentation Help Needed for tech writing classes

Tech Comm at the U of Wisconsin is housed inside the College of 
Engineering.  Given that, we use APA and IEEE almost 
exclusively.   APA 5th is better now...at least it acknowledges that 
patents need to have a cite format!

APA.

Some semesters, when I feel I have the mental energy, I let students 
do a bit of "org anthropology" to see what their particular area of 
study/work uses.  They most often come back with APA, IEEE, NASA 
in-house, and org-specific (example:  Sandia Nat'l Laboratory has its 
own in-house documentation style).  Then, those students have to use 
that cite style all the rest of the term.
