Call for volunteers

STC Academic Community Members,

Thank you to all of you who responded to the STC Academic Community
plannin
g survey.  The results showed support for the following initiatives:

Collecting and disseminating all scholarship, awards, and competition
information to students.  This project would entail sending inquiries to
all chapters and communities and assembling the results according to the
three categories.  We would then make the information available in as many
venues as possible, such as the STC AC list, and other STC lists.
AC sponsoring of the Student Poster Competition.  This project entails
managing the competition this year.  All the forms are in place.  The
process is:  announce, remind, collect posters in the spring, review in
early spring, announce acceptance, coordinate display with STC office,
coordinate pre-conference judging (form available), coordinate conference
judging, award winners, take pictures.
