There are probably several opportunities to study or to develop the
communication or use of metric scales of measure for particular areas
of practice or particular contexts of use.
Some potential projects concern the development or harmonization of
metrological standards, including specifications, API's, or style
guide resources.
For more information about metrication and technical communication,
please see the AAT (Alliance for the Advancement of Technology) ICAS
(Integrated Chronological Applications System) web site.

There are also some links to other standards developing organizations
(BIPM, W3C, NIST, and more).
Please also feel free to share this information with any
organizations involved in developing standards, science, or education
that might like to have a voice in the development of AAT ICAS or
ICAS standards.
I would also be glad to forward any comments or inquiries about AAT
or ICAS to AAT at www.aatideas.org because I am serving that role for
AAT.
Best,
Ron
