Gould Award applications

Carol,

I don't have a nomination at this time.  I just wanted to express, I guess
you would say my delight, at seeing that there is an award honoring Jay
Gould.  Jay Gould and my father, Sterling Olmsted, worked together on the
Technical Writers Institute at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  I believe
my father has an award named after him in the American Society for
Engineering Education.  I will follow this award with interest.

names of eligible academics for this prestigious award.  Information about
eligibility, guidelines, and a list of past recipients is available at

If you're not sure whether the person you are  thinking of recommending is
eligible in terms of years of membership in STC, you can check with the STC
