Dear STC Academic SIG members,
I would be very grateful if you could spare about 10 minutes of your time to
fill out an online questionnaire which will help me with the research I am
doing for my MA in Technical Communications with Sheffield Hallam University
in the UK. For the survey to be as effective as possible, I hope to retrieve
as many responses as possible, so if you know anyone working in the field of
Technical Communications could you please forward this message on to them?
All responses are anonymous and any personal information pertaining to
people and companies will not be included the final thesis. Also, all
respondees are entered into a draw for a €50 Amazon voucher as an
appreciation for taking the time to participate.
This is the link to the survey:

The purpose of my study is to determine if "marginalization" is perceived
among technical writers. "Marginalization" in this case means if you feel
your role, in your opinion, is relegated or deemed in any way less important
than other roles in your work environment.
Thanking you in advance,
Sharon Conroy
