Hi Cheri,

I guess we should have Seth put "Voting for & Installation of Officers"
instead of "our Officer Installations" - so it would read:

"Finally we will have Voting for & Installation of Officers."

We did have a discussion about how we have No Contested Elections, but we
will have a Yeah or Nay Vote at the meeting. 

If we become so active that we need online voting (hope, hope! :-)), we can
look into that for the future.  

I know some other chapters have that already, so maybe we could use their
format, or somehow use our own Survey Monkey.    

Will that verbiage change fulfill your concern? 

I'm not sure we have a full slate yet - or we could post that.

John, 

What do you think?  Should we post the Slate as we have it now?  

Then we could also post the Open Positions.   I don't have the updated info
for that yet.

Where is the part where we allow the membership to vote for elected
officers??? If we are doing that online, we need a vehicle for collecting
votes. And we need to get the word out now to all the membership. If we are
doing it in person, we still need to get the word out now. And it's too late
to announce for the April meeting. 

 

Did I miss something here while I was in Dallas?

Can we add the following Blurbs to the Website for the May Meeting?

 

Salary Survey Results Presentation:

Want to know where your pay falls compared to that of others with your
education and experience? Need to know what rates to charge for an
independent contracting job? 
Want to see if your company is paying a competitive salary?  Come hear Kay
Robart present and analyze the results of our Austin STC Salary Survey! 

 

Later Clay Spinuzzi will introduce the new Rhetoric and Writing Student
Internships at the University of Texas.  

 

Finally we will have our Officer Installations.  Come see who your new
Leadership will be for the 2006 - 2007 Program Year!

 

We Need You!  Come make an impact on Austin STC!!  Volunteer!!!

I guess that is the order of Events - unless John wants to have Officer
Installations first, or have Clay speak first.

Please let Seth know if either will be the case.

 

Does anyone else have anything to add or subtract from this?  Please let
Seth know by Monday, 4/24.
