status of blog guidelines and Director of Publications position

All,

The Director of Publications position remains open. Kendall is not going to 
be able to take it.

She has offered to continue as Newsletter Editor but in a reduced capacity.

Tamara and I have met and she is drafting some guidelines for authoring and 
publishing to the blog.  Kendall, Aaron, Tamara, Ann Gentle, and I will 
review them and get them into final form for review at the February board 
meeting. We will revisit the need for staffing when the guidelines are 
complete.  We will submit any requested changes for the Newsletter Editor 
position in the Policies and Procedures as well.

In the meantime, anyone who needs to publish to the blog can submit items 
to Kendall.  They should copy Tamara and Aaron (as backup). Kendall, Ann 
Gentle, Tamara, Aaron, and I have publishing priviledges, so any of us can 
help get something up.

Kendall has removed the post that some people were uncomfortable with.
