Prior announcements on pubs director opening

The listserv interface doesn't archive the posts for very long, so I save 
them locally as I receive them. I looked through my archived posts and I 
did not see any announcements that the Director of Publications position 
is open.

[stc-austin-admin] Prior announcements on pubs director opening






All, 

I believe I have been announcing that the Director of Publications 
position has been open at chapter meetings since October. 

Lyris is not letting me log in to check the announce archives, so I'm 
unable to verify whether we have sent out announcements that way.  Can 
anyone else check?

The main point of all this is due process: making sure that we have 
advertised the position well enough to be fair to other potential 
candidates.  My perception is that we have typically not been able to 
backfill director vacancies in the past--it's kind of hard for someone 
totally new to the chapter to start in that capacity. :-)
