1. 2006-7 Officers
    a. Each person on board to take responsibility to identify potential
candidates to fill positions next year 
        (5 names by chapter meeting, office recommendations or general
recommendations, pre-contact not necessary but note if done)
    b. John: Announce at each general meeting that positions are open for
next year
2. John: Announce STC Business Meeting 15 minutes early beginning February
for STC info (rechartering, etc.)
3. AI from last time:
    a. $500 into Colby acct DONE
    b. Aaron: DONE
    c. Wanda/Seth emails, web site IN PROGRESS
    d. Cheri: Ping Seth for links to meetings on web site, and board
meetings, @ symbol replace with "at" to limit trash
    e. John: Chapter app for rechartering, etc.
4. Plone: Yahoo vs. Plone -- John tried to set up accts based on
functionality, Yahoo wouldn't allow; able to do it this week; 
    Plone is still necessary until Yahoo access is completely set up.
Minutes within 5 days.
5. Board nomination for remainder of year: Andy nominated and Cheri
seconded. Kendall 
    Discussion: already newsletter/blog -- would that be a conflict?
discussion is that it would not be a problem. 
    Kendall is elected to the position of Publications Director.Doug Dow
will be a good resource for her. 
    John: AI - email Kendall and specifically invite her to the meal after
general meeting.
6. Blog -- items of controversy, is it necessary to have an editor? hooks
for other topics -- should those be better explored? 
    should we have guidelines? Society newsletter in asynchronous form, not
a blog in the traditional sense; 
    there is room for an editorial column. Where is the check & balance
here? John & Tamara to Editorially assist. 
    Committee consisting of Kendall, Tamara, and John.
