I visited the Old Quarry library since it re-opened, very nice space. Recently renovated and reopened in late April. Didn't check out the meeting rooms. 

 

Its a bit hard to see. On Far West, there is an HEB and a post office. The Old Quarry branch is behind the Post Office. Very 'North Central'. Easy access from Mopac, should be convenient for many of our members. 

 

There is an El Arroyo in the same set of buildings, and a good bakery, Kneaded Pleasures, too. The Far West HEB is also there. Lots of useful services within the same set of buildings as the Old Quarry library. 

 

Suggest it might be very easy to set up snacks, meet, then eat Mexican food without ever moving the car. :-)

I would be happy to reconnoiter the Old Quarry branch! It sounds like we are good to go on snacks:

 

"Simple refreshments including coffee, doughnuts, box or sack lunches, may be served..."

 

I don't think we would be able to charge a fee to attend the meeting:

 

"All activities held in the Library's meeting rooms must be open to everyone."

 

Only potential issue - not sure if we have insurance for this:

 

"The individual making the reservation, as well as the membership of the group as a whole, will be held responsible for any and all damages that may occur as a result of the use of the facilities."

 

As long as we wrap up before 9:00 PM and put everything back, we should be fine. You can bring your own equipment but you cannot bring equipment from the library into the auditorium. This sounds like we would need to make our own arrangements for projectors. Do we do this currently?

	agenda for site change(s)? Have it as a possible action item for
