reports/agenda for 5/16 board meeting -> mtg rooms

Just FYI, for years we didn't have a November meeting. Instead, we had a November/December holiday party that was timed for the beginning of December. We just started having a meeting in November in the last few years.

We have a projector & currently David Cramer keeps track of it.

The overall STC policy is to have meetings open to everyone.

Would we also be able to have to Nov 11 & March 10 Seminars there?

We are thinking 9 - 11 AM with about 15-20 minutes before to set up.

We would have to charge for the Seminars though . . .

As far as a November regular meeting - this year the normal date falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

I guess it's up to the Board to decide if we want two events in November - and one that close to a Holiday & our December party.

I would be happy to reconnoiter the Old Quarry branch! It sounds like we are good to go on snacks:

"Simple refreshments including coffee, doughnuts, box or sack lunches, may be served..."

I don't think we would be able to charge a fee to attend the meeting:

"All activities held in the Library's meeting rooms must be open to everyone."

Only potential issue - not sure if we have insurance for this:

"The individual making the reservation, as well as the membership of the group as a whole, will be held responsible for any and all damages that may occur as a result of the use of the facilities."

As long as we wrap up before 9:00 PM and put everything back, we should be fine. You can bring your own equipment but you cannot bring equipment from the library into the auditorium. This sounds like we would need to make our own arrangements for projectors. Do we do this currently?

Sounds great about Old Quarry! It's within a couple of miles of the
North Village Branch. Was not aware of the large meeting room or that
they allow outside food. Is it feasible to put a proposal on tomorrow's
agenda for site change(s)? Have it as a possible action item for
Hospitality/Outreach to scope out the place, find the contact person,
and see about reserving the place? Does Old Quarry have more than that
one room? Know if OQ specifies a minimum # attendees before allowing a
	group tie up the room?

Been to Howson. Imho, not easy to get to in evenings, but it is more
	centrally located.
