Issue for board meeting--please discuss

Last year when I tried to investigate alternate ways of paying, no one
would respond. The only way they accepted payment was to have a credit
card on file. Using the salary survey address is a good one to avoid it
changing, but I believe they won't accept a new account without a credit
card.

Let's open an account in the name of STC Austin, with the
salarysurvey at stcaustin.org email address for the Salary Survey position.
We can pay by check for an entire year ($200 vs. $240 for monthly) and
then the CC issue is moot. We don't have to know the person for sure. I
think it does validate the email though, and use whatever email the
account is created from. The login email can be set during account
creation. So, then, for example:

P.S. It turns out it is very easy to move the surveys between
accounts. Another person will open an account (it is best to use an
email address that is not likely to change, because that's the only
thing you can't change yourself in your account information) and then I
just mark which surveys in my account need to move and put in the email
address of the new account. Simple, but I need someone else to set up an
account.

I'm sorry I can't make the board meeting tonight as we are
trying to get a few things done before my husband's surgery, but I have
an issue I would like you to please discuss.

I have the Survey Monkey account in my name with my credit card
information. Survey Monkey never responded to my inquiries about being
able to be billed differently. Andy has been paying me for six months at
a time, and I believe the May bill will be the last one I've been
reimbursed for.

I don't think we want to close the Survey Monkey account,
because it has the surveys for the last two years, which can be copied
and then modified instead of starting from scratch. I think we have a
couple of options for switching the account to someone else's name and
credit card number, but we have to have a "someone." That might be
Diana, except she hasn't given a conclusive answer about picking up the
committee. I sent her a message offering to answer any questions for
her, but I haven't heard back from her.

	1. I think the only way to transfer our
surveys without asking for help from Survey Monkey is that the new
person can create a new account and transfer our files over before I
close my account. (I was trying to read how to do this this morning but
their Help system wasn't being cooperative. (It might be that stupid
popup blocker that our IT guys keep installing on my computer and I keep
taking off.)

	2.

	3. So, as you may have guessed, I would like
to know who is going to take over the Survey Monkey account and to make
arrangements to switch the account over before June, if possible. Andy
had a good suggestion that it not be the Treasurer, as it would look odd
to be writing checks to himself or herself. If we don't have a definite
Salary Survey person yet, the V.P. might be a good choice, because that
person will be around for two years. However, since the site does
contain personal credit card information, I can see that it might be
best to be the person who is going to be running the survey.

	4.

	5. Kay
