dates available at Old Quarry (4th Tue not available)

Need to check with Marian to see if its possible to change dates. 

She reported a list of scheduled speakers. From that list, these were
scheduled for a '4th Tuesday'
 
September - George Slaughter from the Houston Chapter 
October - David McMurrey from ACC 

This means making sure George and David are available for an alternate
date.

I stopped by the Old Quarry library on the way home from the board
meeting 
last night.

It's nowhere near as classy as the MCC auditorium (or LCRA), but it
looks 
like it will work. And the price is right. :-)  Note that the capacity
is 
listed as 80 online but the fire code notice on the wall says "60 with 
chairs."  There are about stacking 80 chairs available (padded, 
hotel-conference-room-like, but no desk surface like MCC).   Note that
we 
would have to put them back in the chair closet after the meeting.
How's 
your back, Tom?

Some club was there and they were projecting on the wall using a table
in 
front of the audience. It seemed to work.  We'd need to be sure of 
extension cord availability or bring our own.

Now the bad news:   The 4th Tuesday slot has already been claimed. As of

last night the following recurring slots were available:

Mon:  1st, 2nd, 4th
Tue: 1st, 2nd
Wed: 1st, 2nd
Thu: 4th

We should probably move fast if we really want to claim it. What about
the 
2nd Tuesday?

It may help to poll the incoming leadership. I'll do that separately.
