The situation at the North Village branch had been similar a few years
ago--no reservations made until the beginning of August. One year, I
contacted earlier than August, and they had changed it to a couple of
months earlier, I think, and had already been taking reservations.
Fortunately, no one had taken our board meeting spot.

As John had mentioned that certain days were actually still open now,
it's possible Old Quarry might still have those days open when they
announce the window for reservations. I'm thinking the strategy of
keeping close tabs on the very first day for scheduling, then jumping
in and making the reservations. Did the OQ contact person say exactly
how or when the availability would be announced? Email list? Newspaper?
Web? We need to periodically call in?

As for scheduling only September for MCC, and we don't actually move,
we'd be gambling that the rest of the year might still be available. No
matter what happens, we have the potential to be "homeless" for a year.

Leaning towards having ear to OQ wall and lining up whatever ducks
there we can so we can be first or nearly first to reserve.
