PINNING DOWN ACCESSIBILITY
March Society for Technical Communication Chapter meeting presents Kay 
Robart and Cynthia Cammack

Austin, TX- March 1, 2007 – The Austin Community of STC features Kay Robart 
and Cynthia Cammack who will give the presentation, “Pining Down 
Accessibility”.

Kay and Cynthia will discuss the following:
•Accessibility of documentation by users with disabilities.
•Accessibility guidelines required by the State of Texas.
•Examples for how to accomplish guideline goals for both RoboHelp and 
Dreamweaver users or any Web-based application or document.

Kay Robart is an Associate Fellow of STC with more than 20 years of 
technical writing experience. She is a former President, Vice President, and 
Director of STC Austin, and she founded the Austin Technical Communications 
Competition. She has won nine awards from STC Austin and STC Houston for her 
publications. Her previous employers include Landmark Graphics, Forgent 
Networks, and Compaq Computers. Currently, she is employed by the Texas 
Education Agency.

Cynthia Cammack is an STC member with seven years of technical writing 
experience on top of a career in education and training. She works for the 
Texas Education Agency.

The Society for Technical Communication (STC) is a professional association 
that advances the arts and sciences of technical communication. Its 25,000 
international members create product manuals,
software documentation, and intuitive user interfaces for the technology we 
use every day.

Meetings are free and open to the public. The meeting starts with light
refreshments and networking at 6PM. Then program is from 7:00-8:00 pm.
Meetings are held at the Commons Center on the J.J. Pickle Research Campus.
