We are VERY fortunate to have the international usability conference in
Austin this year!
Volunteers get a discount off the student rate: slots go first to
students and next to jobseekers.
Cheers, Mary

Greetings, User Experience Community!
The 2007 Usability Professionals' Association (UPA) conference will be
held June 11-15, 2007 in Austin, Texas, USA. We are very excited about
exploring the conference theme of "Patterns: Blueprints for Usability"
and
to have the opportunity to network with other User Experience
practitioners.
A critical component of the success of our yearly conferences is the
support of our conference volunteers. This year, we are looking for at
least 30 volunteers to participate in a variety of capacities. As a
volunteer, you will be asked to help with some behind-the-scenes
activities in exchange for a greatly-reduced conference registration
fee.
In addition to the obvious financial benefits, you will also have the
opportunity to interact closely with leaders in the User Experience
field
who will be attending the conference as speakers/presenters, conference
planners, and participants.
If you want to learn more about the UPA 2007 Conference volunteering
opportunity, please visit

There, you can find details about the benefits, expectations, and fees,
as well as a link to the application process.
We would also appreciate your sharing this announcement with other
groups
or organizations that may have individuals interested in volunteering at
the conference. If you have any additional questions, please let us know
at the email addresses below.
Sincerely,
The UPA 2007 Conference Volunteers Co-Chairs
