Our small team, based in North-East London, requires a technical 
author. Basic details are below. Please reply offlist if you are

Technical Author, London, England, Permanent Full-time

Part of the world's leading sewing machine producer, our small UK-
based team builds consumer embroidery software. We require a talented 
and enthusiastic individual to replace our current full-time author 
who is leaving after six years.

Primary Tasks
* Create user-friendly manuals and HTML Help systems for our range of 
embroidery software
* Create program specs and assist in UI design
* Develop training exercises and inspirational material 
* Create support materials such as FAQs
* Document internal processes and functions

Secondary Tasks
* Test and report on software in development
* Coordinate localization projects
* Assist in third-line technical support 

Skills Required
* Technical authoring experience including online help 
* Comprehensive FrameMaker / WebWorks knowledge or equivalent
* Graphics skills an advantage
* Knowledge of European languages useful but not mandatory
* Knowledge of sewing and embroidery useful but not mandatory
