Hi All,
I received an email from Ginny Redish, a Fellow in the Society for Technical
Communication.
She asked me to publicize the Usability Professionals' Association
Conference which will be held in Austin the week of June 11.
http://www.upassoc.org/conference/2007/
Ginny is both an STC member and a UPA member, and believes there is a lot of
overlap and mutual interest between STC & UPA. In addition, Ginny will be
conducting a full-day tutorial at the Conference on Writing for the Web.
Many of you may find this useful.
Announcement:
Ginny Redish (STC Fellow and former STC Board member) is giving an all-day
tutorial on writing for the web in Austin on Tuesday, June 12.
Where: Hilton Hotel, Austin, Texas; Usability Professionals' Association
(UPA) annual meeting
What: Full-day tutorial on Writing for the Web, based on Ginny's
brand-new book, Letting Go of the Words
It's fun. It's fast-paced. It's full of great examples and practice. It's
stuff you can take back and apply immediately.
You can sign up for just the tutorial, if you can't go to the whole
conference.

Whitney Quesenbery, another STC Fellow who presented at our Austin STC
Spring Seminar in March, is also very involved with the UPA and will also be
at this Conference:

As with STC, the UPA Conference is held in a different part of the country
each year, so this is a great chance to attend without the additional travel
costs!!!
