Job Description:
Sensis currently has an opening for two full-time Technical 
Communications Specialists on our Air Traffic Systems Team in Syracuse, 
NY.

The Sensis Technical Publications group has two Technical 
Communications Specialist positions available. The Specialists will 
work closely with the Air Traffic Systems (ATS) program team to define 
and develop technical documents and training materials for our Air 
Traffic detection and management systems. The successful candidate will 
write, edit, illustrate, review, and produce technical manuals, 
training materials and job aids, design documents, and other technical 
documents.

Qualifications:
You will be required to have a BA/BS in English, Technical 
Communications, Education, or a technical field.

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years experience developing technical documents.
- Experience applying single-source methodologies using FrameMaker and 
Webworks.
- Experience developing training course materials.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, structured technical 
documents and help systems.
- Experience writing documentation plans and maintaining document 
schedules.
- Ability to collect data from a variety of sources including 
specifications, schematics, interviews, and hands-on product use.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet strict 
deadlines.
- Working knowledge of the MS Office applications suite and MS Visio.
- Experience with Adobe applications including FrameMaker, PhotoShop, 
and Acrobat.
- Proficiency with the Windows and UNIX operating systems.
- Ability to write and edit HTML and XML code.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.

In addition to the preceding qualifications, technical knowledge of 
electronic, radar, air traffic control, or related systems is strongly 
preferred. Experience working in a software engineering/programming 
environment is a strong plus, as are logistics skills and experience in 
applying web-based documentation techniques.
