Responsibilities include restructuring and revising articles for clarity and writing excellence; ensuring that the technical information contained in each article is of high quality, complete, scientifically sound, and balanced; reviewing figures and tables for clarity and consistency with text; ensuring that scientific terminology and symbols are used correctly; and composing a lay-language supplement to recap the content of the article. Requirements include an advanced degree or equivalent work experience in materials science or a related field and familiarity with materials science concepts and terminology.
