This opportunity is located in Tampa, FL near International Plaza.
Pay will be commensurate with experience; in the $80k to $90k range with
bonus opportunities. Some relocation assistance might be possible for
MARKETING WRITER/WEB CONTENT MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
In this position, the Marketing Writer/Web Content Manager will develop
compelling, innovative and high-impact marketing content for use on the
web,
in marketing collateral and in multimedia assets creating a consistent
"voice" presenting Company to the outside world. The ideal candidate
will
value the rewards of a team-oriented environment and require excellent
communication skills with constituencies, including marketing, sales,
and
product management and product marketing.
This role will play an active role in the planning, deployment and
review of
content for product launches, campaigns and special projects, ensuring
the
highest standards are maintained throughout. In addition to writing,
editing, and proofreading written content, this person will also work
closely with the Marketing Web Services team to maintain site standards
regarding web content updates and change management.
The ideal candidate will also have experience managing online marketing
and
outreach campaigns while demonstrating the proven ability to manage
multiple
projects simultaneously and initiatives in conjunction with changing and
sometimes competing priorities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:
" Developing innovative and technically savvy marketing collateral
that reflects an understanding of clients software solutions including
outlines, drafts for review and finished content
" Ensuring accuracy, clarity and consistency of clients software
brand
compliance, style, tone, and adherence to SEO guidelines
" Copy-editing and proofread material from other teams and
departments
checking style, content, facts and consistency
" Evaluating the effectiveness of web content and where
appropriate
make suggestions and recommendations
" Reviewing marketing collateral and web content for accuracy
ensuring
changes are tracked, managed and updated in an organized and timely
manner
" Establishing specifications, scope of work and determining
relevant
subject matter, distilling difficult technical information into laymen's
terms
" Staying current on industry news via researching internet,
content
experts & industry analysts, relevant trade publications, journals and
catalogs
" Collaborating and brainstorming concepts and ideas regarding
direction with interdepartmental and cross-functional teams
" Developing scripts for customer, partner and solutions videos,
podcasts, flash demos etc
" Working remotely with a variety of different constituents, often
independently with little to no direct supervision including
interviewing
thought leaders & clients software customers
" Weekly status reporting in marketing meetings on activities,
projects, initiatives and results
" Proven ability to manage multiple resources and initiatives in
conjunction with changing and sometimes competing priorities
" Other predefined marketing projects on an ad hoc basis
QUALIFICATIONS
" 5-7 years of marketing / writing experience
" 2-4 years in a business to business model creating programs
" Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
" Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation
skills.
" Ability to turn business requirements into written deliverables
" A results driven, team-oriented, strategic thinking professional
