for our Thursday, November 2 chapter meeting is Usability 101, presented =
by Karen

In this
session on usability, Karen will provide an overview of the =
user-centered
design process. The introduction will describe the typical steps in the
process, show how usability work fits within a typical development life =
cycle,
and introduce some of the key deliverables such as user analysis, user
interface prototypes, and usability test plans. After this overview, the
audience will vote on select areas to present in greater =
detail.<o:p></o:p>

A&nbsp;senior
member of the STC,&nbsp;Karen has 12 years of experience as a user =
experience
consultant. She is the current manager of the STC Usability and
User&nbsp;Experience&nbsp;SIG, and presented at the 2005 international =
STC
conference. She is also a member of the Usability Professionals =
Organization,
and served as a past president of this chapter. She currently works for =
